Resort Circulars

The recent problems with the Resort intercom system were resolved on Thursday 4 November. Visitors and residents can again dial through to homes from the gate for access and call house-to-house within the Resort.

In a small number of residences, modems used to connect to the system may have become disconnected. If you are experiencing any difficulty with your resort intercom, please call HIR Security on 5530 9971 to arrange for rectification by a technician.

The faulty hardware and software elements used previously were more than 6 years old and direct replacements are not available. Correcting the problem required installation of a new hardware/software controller, which had to be specially sourced and ordered.

The new equipment is designed to handle sudden network faults or environmental changes without causing corruption to the underlying resort intercom system and will provide significantly better service reliability than the previous equipment.
