BODY CORPORATE FEES?

reality

Have you heard speculation that we are paying too much for our Body Corporate fees?  Did you read somewhere that other Managers could provide the same service at half the cost?

The real facts are that in total, our Body Corporate levies compare favourably with other properties in the area. Consider the examples below;

comparison1
Notes:

  1. The HIR property is a 3 bedroom freestanding house
  2. The comparison properties are 2 or 3 bedroom premises
  3. All charges shown include Refuse Collection, which is a Council charge at other than Sanctuary Cove and HIR.
  4. The weighted average weekly charge across occupied properties in HIR is $88.42

The annual reduction in levies resulting from the new Management Agreements is different for each Residential Body Corporate (RBC) but averages $473 ($9 per week) per lot across the Resort. No reduction has been reflected in the HIR weekly charges in the table above. Undoubtedly, there are aspects of the Agreements we would have liked to be different. Nevertheless, we believe the result is reasonable, given the contracts they replaced and the constraints imposed by the perpetual nature of those contracts.

We continue to believe that Hope Island Resort provides a superior environment and lifestyle, at competitive and reasonable Body Corporate charges.

We would like to assure you that as your elected representatives, we will continue to do everything we can to deliver value for your levies and to maintain the quality of life at HIR.
