Michael joined Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Service in 1967 and spent 25 years in the military, where he experienced a very varied life. Some memorable moments include playing at the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and accompanying them on their Honeymoon on board the Royal Yacht “Britannia”, and playing at Carnegie Hall in New York, with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Buddy Rich.
Michael served in the Falklands War and had ten active duties in Northern Ireland.
He immigrated to Australia in 1994 and joined Hope Island Security (then called “Access Control”) a year later.
Michael is married to Helen and they have two children and a grandson. His hobbies include Music, Golf, Snooker and watching Footy. He thinks of his Mates at HIR security as his extended family – “always there when you need them most”.
His number one aim when it comes to work is “to keep Hope Island Resort residents safe, honest and alive”.
Best wishes to you Michael – and thank you for your dedicated service to HIR, its owners and residents.
