To do that, we would really benefit from extra arms and legs to help seek out some more local businesses and encourage them to advertise with us. You don't need to be a computer expert to get involved – we have a very simple system for advertisers to become clients and we take care of all the technical aspects of getting their material onto the website, including invoicing and collecting payment. We think our advertising rates are very affordable and that's what our clients tell us too.
If you bring in business, we will pay a commission of 20% when we receive payment of the first year's advertising fee.
The rest of us who work to develop and maintain the site are volunteer HIR owners and we work without payment. The fees generated from advertising go to defray the cost of operating the website.
