British lawmakers have taken a “no-deal” exit from the European Union (EU) off the table with amendment to a government motion.

The British MPs on Wednesday voted narrowly to reject the United Kingdom leaving the EU without a negotiated withdrawal agreement.

The move has increased the chances of a Brexit delay.

The vote, which also deals a further blow to Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit strategy, was passed by 312 in favour and 308 against.
